Olive Talley
Olive Talleyis an award-winning producer, director and writer who is passionate about telling stories that make a difference.
Olive is a veteran journalist in television, print, radio and online media who prefers documentary style, in-depth storytelling. She honed her video production skills in network television as a staff producer for primetime news magazine shows, Prime Time Live!at ABC and Dateline NBC in NY. She is a two-time national Emmy finalist for work at both networks. She won a National Headliner for Outstanding Network Documentary at Dateline and was part of a news team at NBC that won a DuPont Columbia Award. She won a George Polk Award and was named a Pulitzer Prize Finalist for investigative reporting at the Dallas Morning News. She also worked at the Houston Post, the Houston Chronicle, and United Press International, where she covered the space program and Texas’ Death Row. She also worked in radio news in Austin, San Antonio and Houston. Olive is a past board member of the non-profit Investigative Reporters & Editors at the University of Missouri. She holds a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and attended Harvard University on a Nieman Fellowship.
Olive worked closely with the late Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. David Cross to conceptualize and create more than 60 hours of video training materials for the Institute of Child Development at TCU, renamed in honor of Dr. Purvis after her death in 2016. Olive considers her work on behalf of vulnerable and traumatized children to be some the most meaningful and important work of her career.
J Hutton
J Huttonis a gifted video editor and creative collaborator with a passion for telling stories that touch the heart. His forte is his ability to weave pictures, rhythm and sound to create the perfect mood, timing, and sense of place and moments. He believes there’s a natural rhythm to life, slow and fast, high and low and he uses this rhythm to tell stories. He elevates every script he touches.
He has edited music videos, commercials and ad campaigns for Ford Motor Company, Pepsi, Frito Lay, Six Flags, and AT&T, and corporate sales and marketing videos for clients such as Mazda, HP, DXC Technology, NTT Data, 7-Eleven and the Dallas Cowboys. But his real love is editing documentaries. He has completed several documentaries and episodes for television series including Small Business Today andWalker, Texas Rangeras an editor for The Stokes Group in Dallas.
For four years, he edited the nationally syndicated news segment, An American Moment,hosted by Charles Kuralt and James Earl Jones.
J holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Guy Hernandez
Guy Hernandez is an Emmy-award winning freelance photographer with over 20 years’ experience as a Director of Photography. He has earned huge respect as a talented, versatile and technical photographer who is skilled in full-length feature films, documentaries, network news magazine shows, corporate videos and professional sports. He’s also a seasoned aerial, jib and drone operator.
He began his career as a news photographer in Flagstaff, Ariz., followed by Salinas, CA., and then KDFW in Dallas. In 2000, he went into business for himself and developed clients ranging from FOX News, NBC News, CBS News, ABC News, Discovery Channel, the History Channel, BBC to PBS, as well as a host of corporate clients.
Known for his technical skills, can-do attitude and cheerful sense of humor in high-stress, deadline-driven environments, Guy is a highly sought-after talent. His work has earned him some of the news industry’s most prestigious awards: a national Edward R. Murrow, the National Press Photographer’s Association “Photographer-of-the-Year” honors three times, and numerous National Headliners and Emmy Awards, among others. In 2009, he was honored for “best cinematography” for a documentary he shot in South Louisiana, “Tide of Tears.” He served as the Executive Producer, Director, Cinematographer, and Editor of his latest documentary, “Lube Job,” which won international awards at numerous film festivals and was distributed to universities worldwide.
Claire Chiappetta
Claire Chiappetta is the President and Executive Producer of Cactex Media, a Dallas production company that creates innovative and interactive content for a wide range of worldwide companies. Cactex Media’s clients include JC Penney, NTT Data, DXC Technology, Leidos, General Electric, Microsoft, Mazda and CBS News.
Claire has over 25 years of experience in corporate messaging, video production, media relations for global corporations, as well as network television journalism. She began her career as a producer for CBS News, where she covered the 1992 presidential election and produced for the legendary correspondent Charles Kuralt. Her journalism work was honored with a national Emmy Award and a George Foster Peabody Award. She went on to produce a documentary for KERA, a pilot of a National Public Radio/New York Times collaboration for PBS.
For three years, she produced the nationally syndicated series, “An American Moment with Charles Kuralt” and “An American Moment with James Earl Jones,” turning out 314 segments each year. That work garnered a Gold Camera Award from the U.S. International Film Festival. She also conceived and produced an award-winning one-hour documentary on childhood development for KERA-TV, the PBS affiliate in Dallas.
As a senior producer for Gaylord Entertainment, Claire managed video production teams in the US, Europe and Asia and earned a reputation as a leader and manager of cost-effective video production processes.
Since she founded her own production company, Cactex Media, in 2006, Claire and her team have created segments that have supported over $3.2 billion in clients’ sales pursuits. She offers clients an array of services including development of web content, interactive demonstrations, live events, digital video productions and sales events.
Claire holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from College of New Rochelle in NY.
